Urgent Call to Action: Save the Zombie Dogs

Attention all compassionate citizens of Korea! It’s time to come together and make our voices heard. On June 5th, our team at the Korean K9 Rescue uncovered a heart-wrenching crisis that has been ignored for far too long. We discovered over 50 dogs living in filth and infected with parasites while an 80-year-old grandmother struggled to care for them alone.
For over a decade, this heartbreaking situation has gone unnoticed and unaddressed by the city and the community. Despite our exposure, it took Paju City a staggering 12 days to move the elderly grandma to a nursing home, leaving these innocent dogs suffering from diseases and neglect. These poor souls, many of them young and afflicted with severe skin infections, have been dubbed “Zombie Dogs.” Their plight is a haunting reminder of the consequences of neglect and indifference towards needy animals. Our team has managed to rescue 17 of these dogs, but their condition is contagious, and providing them with proper care is challenging and costly.

This is where we need your help. As fellow Korean citizens who care deeply about the innocent creatures that share our world, we must demand immediate action from Paju City officials. They have a duty to protect both the public and these animals, and their negligence can no longer be tolerated.

Help us raise our voices: Please call Paju City if you live in Korea and tell the officials, “Paju City must allocate a clean quarantine location for the abandoned dogs to heal and ensure their safety and well-being.”
