With help from our team and partner organizations, Korean K9 Rescue has helped save the lives of over 3,500 dogs. Because the adoption rate is less than 20% in South Korea, dogs are transported to the US, where we know our dogs can find loving, caring forever homes. Read more about our mission here.
The majority of our adoptable dogs are located on the East Coast, with options in the West Coast. We do accept adoptions outside of NYC on a case-by-case basis. For additional information, please visit our adoption FAQ page.
We are a foster-based organization, meaning dogs stay in loving homes, ensuring our new arrivals receive the care and attention they need before finding their forever home.
We also highly encourage you to read about our adoption procedures and FAQs before applying to adopt.

Meet Dua, our 3-year-old, 40-lb male Jindo mix. As one of the last two dogs rescued from the Siheung slaughterhouse, this sweet soul came from unimaginable beginnings with a heart full of love and a tail that’s always wagging! As part of our mission, we believe all dogs should live happy and free. We take the time to learn each dog’s personality, provide them the best health care, and give them the essential training for their happily ever after. He’s great on the leash and absolutely loves his treats, which never fail to put a big smile on his face. Dua grows more comfortable and confident daily, showing off his playful and happy side as he comes out of his shell. As one of the last two dogs rescued from the Siheung shelter, Dua is ready to leave his past behind and find his forever family. Could that be you? Meet all our adoptable dogs this weekend! About:
Since arriving in NYC, Argon has been a bundle of confidence and curiosity. He adores running up and down stoops (bonus points if it’s 3-4 steps!), loves his bully sticks more than any toy, and is very content relaxing in his crate without a peep.
Argon is aware of his NYC city surroundings on walks and improving daily. His playful and active personality perfectly balances his love for downtime, making him an excellent companion for various homes.
Are you ready to welcome this brave and playful boy into your family? Argon is eager to meet you and bring joy to your life!

Meet Henny! This loving, playful 4-year-old mini Jindo mix is bursting with personality. At just 20lbs, she's incredibly smart and goofy, walking well on a leash and fully crate trained. Henny loves her food and is very food-motivated. While she's great with other pets, she would prefer being the only pet in an adult-only home. Henny has some stranger danger she's working on with her trainers and needs a patient adopter willing to guide her and help her succeed around new people. Henny is being fostered by dog trainers @rescuetrainrepeat and is thriving! Henny's adoption fee is $300, and she's available for private meetings in Bushwick. Apply to meet her today at koreank9rescue.org/adopt
