With help from our team and partner organizations, Korean K9 Rescue has helped save the lives of over 3,500 dogs. Because the adoption rate is less than 20% in South Korea, dogs are transported to the US, where we know our dogs can find loving, caring forever homes. Read more about our mission here.
The majority of our adoptable dogs are located on the East Coast, with options in the West Coast. We do accept adoptions outside of NYC on a case-by-case basis. For additional information, please visit our adoption FAQ page.
We are a foster-based organization, meaning dogs stay in loving homes, ensuring our new arrivals receive the care and attention they need before finding their forever home.
We also highly encourage you to read about our adoption procedures and FAQs before applying to adopt.

Meet Henny! This loving, playful 4-year-old mini Jindo mix is bursting with personality. At just 20lbs, she's incredibly smart and goofy, walking well on a leash and fully crate trained. Henny loves her food and is very food-motivated. While she's great with other pets, she would prefer being the only pet in an adult-only home. Henny has some stranger danger she's working on with her trainers and needs a patient adopter willing to guide her and help her succeed around new people. Henny is being fostered by dog trainers @rescuetrainrepeat and is thriving! Henny's adoption fee is $300, and she's available for private meetings in Bushwick. Miso is a handsome and intelligent 25-lb male. Jindo is mixed with a charming personality. Outdoors, he is active and full of energy; indoors, he enjoys lounging like a cat. Miso would be the perfect companion for a low-traffic household or a single owner without children or other pets. Although Miso is an easy-going dog, he has been part of our training program to address reactivity around other dogs. He has made remarkable progress, advancing to group pack walks and play sessions with our trainer. Miso is now ready to find his forever home! He will thrive in a stable, quiet environment, ideally with an adult-only household of one or two people. Miso would love a home that offers him outdoor adventures like park visits and hikes, which bring him the most joy. Once he bonds with his person, he is incredibly affectionate and loyal. The ideal home for Miso would be with someone committed to continuing his progress through follow-up training provided by our rescue. This will ensure his ongoing growth and success as an excellent companion. Miso is part of our foster-to-adopt VIP program! Learn more about the program https://www.koreank9rescue.org/foster-faq/#foster-to-adopt and meet Miso at one of our upcoming adoption events. Meet all our adoptable dogs this weekend!
